Avena was caught in a cage trap after safely living on the streets all her life. A person call us because she was going into his farm to steal his dog's food and, not only that, but she had her puppies hidden in bales of straw. When our volunteers arrived, indeed, Avena was very nervous loitering around. Fortunately, she was hungry and entered the cage, although she fought with all her might to escape to protect her five one-month-old puppies. Avena is very afraid of people, she doesn't approach us and doesn't allow herself to be touched. Inside the kennel we can touch her, she remains submissive and very scared. She will need a long time until she start to trust people, we don't know what this poor dog will have happened. She needs a family with experience in fearful dogs to give her a chance to see what is a home.
