Mesi's story is very sad. This poor cat, about 5 years old, was abandoned on the street by the people he thought were his family, right outside their home. They watched him deteriorate day after day, waiting for him to die. He waited for the doors of what had once been his home to be opened to him... Because of them, Mesi is sick and in pain, and while those people have 'taken a problem off their shoulders' and feel no remorse, we are fighting alongside him so he can return to a dignified and normal life. Fortunately, biopsies have ruled out tumors, but it is an immune-mediated disease, so its control will require time and careful monitoring.
