YAGO suddenly appeared in a wild cats colony of a neighborhood in Segovia. The caretaker called us because the new cat was extremely sociable; he didn’t run away and only looked for the company and caresses of the people, which is a serious danger to survive in the street, full of bad people. Our volunteers picked him up and, by doing the corresponding tests, we discovered that he had surely been abandoned because he is positive for feline immunodeficiency. How can someone be so miserable that leaves who depends on him and loves him just because he is sick? This disease means that Yago is much lower in defense than a healthy cat and it can be activated in his body at any time, but it can also be inactive for a long time. It is not transmitted to humans, although it could be transmitted to other cats, so we can not join in him with our other cats in the shelter and must remain in a room locked in a cage of small dimensions, and that is not life. He is a completely adorable and very, very affectionate cat. It is impressive how you need human contact.
